Dental Radiology provides a broad overview of the normal and abnormal appearances of teeth and jaws on X-ray images. Abnormalities are grouped together according to their location or their main presenting feature. Recognition of abnormalities by the interpretation of their radiographic appearance, is assisted by a clear review of the normal appearance. The production of the routine X-ray views used in dentistry and the basic science of the subject is reviewed, to provide a foundation of knowledge of image formation. Areas causing confusion which can lead to errors in diagnosis are highlighted. This book is intended for undergraduate dental students, practising dentists, trainee oral radiologists, and radiographers.
