"Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine" is a two-volume loose leaf reference work which is updated annually. This first update includes up to 30 new or revised chapters, with the addition of new chapters ensuring complete coverage of emerging topics. The first six sections cover anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and therapeutics, immunology, and diagnostic procedures. The book then moves onto 11 sections reviewing specific disease entities: obstructive disease, cancer, infectious disease, and occupational and environmental diseases, to name a few areas. A substantial section on critical care follows. Closing the book are sections on medical-legal issues and pulmonary transplantation.
