This manual has been conceived with three broad goals in mind: firstly to present a state-of-art review of techniques and findings in gastrointestinal motility recording; secondly, to provide a how-to approach that should promote accurate and useful results; and thirdly, to improve interpretative skills by providing typical sample that can be referred to for both routine and complicated cases. This manual should be helpful in educating physicians, students, and technicians in the science and art of gastrointestinal motility - its physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical significance. This book is also designed to assist in the training of physicians and technicians in the performance and interpretation of tests of gastrointestinal motility and to provide a helpful referral source for rapid perusal and comparison of recordings and data.
