While the legalization debate rages on, the discovery that marijuana may have the medical potential to cure people from debilitating illnesses, as the following inspirational stories suggest, may prove to be the most convincing argument yet. Marijuana Miracles shares the heart-felt triumphs of those who claim medical marijuana miraculously saved their lives. People suffering from Crohn’s disease, epilepsy, brain seizures, advanced type-2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s and many cancers.

Cannabis and the unique chemical compounds produced by the plant, called cannabinoids, have been at the center of one of the most exciting—and underreported—developments in modern science. Research on marijuana’s effects led directly to the discovery of a molecular signaling system in the human brain and body, the endocannabinoid system, which plays a crucial role in regulating a broad range of physiological processes: hunger, sleep, inflammation, stress, blood pressure, body temperature, glucose metabolism, bone density, intestinal fortitude, reproductive fertility, circadian rhythms, mood and much more. Under the radar, a healing revolution is taking place for people whose doctor’s told them they were terminal with no options for further treatment. Documentary filmmaker Daniel Morii has gather these stories of miraculus healings and people literally brought back from death’s door in Marijuana Miracles, working with a team of heroic physicians and medical professionals. From Jimmy Carter to CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta to Montel Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, senior citizens and sick children, cannabanoids are quickly becoming the answer to many people’s prayers.

From the Author:

"Over the past four years I have been interviewing and filming medical marijuana patients and key stakeholders in the industry throughout the 25 states that have legalized marijuana as a medicine. This manuscript will feature those stories with important background material on the historical use of marijuana as a medicine, it’s demonization and current renaissance. Stories include patients from age 6 through 93, who have struggled with cancer, chronic pain, Alzheimer’s, Crohn’s, AIDs and HIV, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, seizure disorders, autism, PTSD, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, schizophrenia, depression, sleep disorders, anorexia, opioid abuse, alcoholism, psoriasis, and glaucoma. It also features an interview with co-author of California proposition 215, the compassionate use act that passed in 1996, with images and stories about the first medical marijuana dispensary in the U.S. the “San Francisco Cannabis Buyers Club.” Additional stories will include physicians, pharmacists, cultivators, formulary medicine makers, dispensary owners, and nonprofit agencies advocating for their patients."

Dr. David Sine received his Doctor of Medicine in 1993 and immediately pursued specialized credentialing in pediatric medicine, in which he became board certified in 1998. He received his board certification in 2002 from the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and began his career in providing compassionate care to the most critical of pediatric patients. He serves to guide both the patients, and their families, throughout their most difficult transition and has positively affected hundreds of families in the most grim of situations. Dr. Sine currently serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Palliative Care for Central Valley Children’s Hospital, Hinds Hospice, and Tulare Hospice in Central California. He and his interdisciplinary care teams provide holistic care to children with life-threatening illnesses and those who are terminally ill. His program specializes in providing families with symptom management for chronically ill children and children at the end of life through communication, medical decision making, spiritual and psychosocial guidance. In addition to the clinical and administrative duties related to these palliative care programs, Dr. Sine is involved in Complementary Alternative Medicine and specializes in the use of medical cannabis in his pediatric patient populations. Dr. Sine also works closely with local regulators and law enforcement to help establish best practices for the use of cannabis in children.
