This work focuses on the identification of the nature, the assessment and remediation of communication problems encountered by cleft palate sufferers. It is aimed at general speech therapy practitioners and contains case histories to illustrate the principles described. It also deals with the associated problems which impinge on their work - hearing impairment, feeding difficulty, psychological problems, learning delay and laryngeal insufficiency. It is designed to be a practitioner's bench book rather than one for occasional reference.
