Volume 2 of the series profiles the research of Nancy Fugate Woods, PhD, RN, FAAN, Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Parent and Child Nursing at the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle, Washington. For nearly 20 years Dr. Woods has been a leader and innovator in the development of women's health as a field of study in nursing science. In collaboration with colleagues at the University of Washington, Dr. Woods established the Centre for Women's Health Research, which focuses on women's health across the lifespan. Her current research focuses on indentifying casual factors in the development of premenstrual syndrome and premenstrual magnification symptom patterns.
