This serial presents current advances and comprehensive reviews in cell biology - both plant and animal. Articles in the volumes cover structure and control of gene expression, nucleocytoplasmic interactions, control of cell development and differentiation, cell transformation and growth. Coverage has been expanded to include molecular biology applied to cell biological systems, cell-cell interactions, cell surface and receptor phenomena, and many other areas. Also being developed are special topical volumes in areas of particular growth and interest - forthcoming topics include mitochondrial genomes and the molecular biology of membrane transport.
