This book begins with the scientific basis upon which clinical immunohaematology is based. As the book progresses, the applications of that knowledge to clinical problems is introduced. The detection of the reaction between antigen and antibody on blood cells and the application of such knowledge to the problems of compatibitity of components of the blood in transfusion and in transplacental disease are covered. Finally the diseases due to aberrations of the immune system and in the interaction of the components of the immune system are addressed.
