Written by the one who has been a practising midwife for 20 years, this book aims to provide a source of inspiration to all midwives regardless of their place of work and type of practice.
Caroline has the ability to articulate and make public the issues which have concerned, irritated, excited, frustrated and saddened midwives everywhere - everyday topics such as uniform as well as far reaching developments like 'Changing Childbirth'. Her writing is a source of inspiration to all midwives regardless of their place of work and type of practice. Caroline Flint has been a practising midwife for 20 years. She was a community midwife at Guy's hospital, before becoming Research Midwife and 'Know Your Midwife' Scheme team leader at St George's. She has been practising independently for seven years, in addition to acting as consultant midwife to Riverside Health authority. She is, with her partners at Special Delivery Birth Practice, opening a Birth Centre in London. Caroline writes extensively on professional issues. Her published works include "Sensitive Midwifery", "Community Midwifery" (with Mary Cronk) and "Midwifery Teams and Case-loads". She regularly writes for consumer and professional journals.
