Dr. G. William Arnett D.D.S., F.A.C.D. graduated with honors from the University of Southern California Dental School and University of California at Los Angeles in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His practice is strictly limited to facial reconstruction including surgery and research. He has been the featured speaker nationally and internationally in all aspects of orthognathic surgery and has published numerous papers. Dr. Arnett is currently on staff as Assistant Professor, Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Loma Linda, Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California, Senior Lecturer, Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University of California, Los Angeles, California, Clinical Professor, Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas and Visiting Professor, Universidad del Desarrollo, School of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine, Santiago, Chile. Dr. Richard McLaughlin D.D.S. is one of the orthodontic industry's foremost instructors on advanced treatment using the pre-adjusted appliance. He established his still-thriving orthodontic practice shortly after graduating from the orthodontics program at the University of Southern California. He continues to treat patients in his San Diego office, and maintains an international lecturing and teaching schedule. Dr. McLaughlin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists, and was recently honored with the American Board's Dale B. Wade Award. He is the Southern California Component Director of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, a clinical professor at USC's department of Orthodontics, and an associate professor at St. Louis University, Department of Orthodontics. He has written more than 30 journal articles, and co-authored 4 textbooks. Dr. Michael J. Gunson graduated from UCLA Dental School and continued on to receive his Medical Degree and Specialty Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from UCLA. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Gunson was invited to partner with Dr. G. William Arnett at the Center for Corrective Jaw Surgery in Santa Barbara, California. Since that time, his practice has been limited to facial reconstructive surgery, surgical correction of sleep apnea, education, and research.Dr. Gunson has lectured and published research on the surgical correction of OSA, the three dimensional airway changes associated with surgical correction, the medical treatment of mandibular condylar resorption, facial diagnosis and treatment planning. Specializing in orthognathic surgery and research has enabled Drs. Gunson and Arnett to examine approximately 10,000 patients with cosmetic, functional, and OSA conditions. As a result, they have studied and improved their results while sharing information through publications and lectures.
