Atif A Ahmed is Staff Pathologist and Director of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology at the Department of Pathology of Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, Kansas City, Mo, USA. Holds an academic title as an Associate Professor, University of Missouri, Kansas City, Mo, USA. Graduated with a medical degree in 1988 and completed residency and fellowship training in the USA. Qualified with the American Board of Pathology (2003) and Pediatric Pathology (2005). Research interests include soft tissue tumors, targeted biomarkers in pediatric cancer, and immunohistochemistry. Has more than 60 publications including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and meeting presentations. Member of the Society for Pediatric Pathology, the Children's Oncology Group, and the American Association for Cancer Research; a Fellow of the Association of Clinical Scientists; Life Fellow of the College of American Pathologists; ad hoc reviewer of manuscripts; and editorial board member of several journals.
