In the technical world, researchers create inventions. In the area of the human locomotory
system, nature has invented everything and all we can do is admire and attempt to understand it.
The locomotory system can only be healed by nature itself, and so we must respect and obey
nature's laws and regulations. While respecting nature's laws we can, however, support positive
influences and create conditions for a smooth course. I have observed that unsuccessful therapy
is often the result of having too few positive conditions in our environment and the focus of
therapy being simply on a quick fix.
The understanding of the human body is a never-ending process and so I simply wish to present
you with my observations and opinions which are surely not without fault and will continue to
develop. I have carefully considered the form of in which to present my knowledge to you.
I have decided that the best method is to express my opinions briefly, without presenting my
uncertainties, hesitations or consideration of alternate methods. So the text of this book seems a
little like dogma or dictation. I apologize in advance for this manner of expression, but
I believe that this is the only form simple and straightforward enough to express a clear opinion.
In reality, I hesitate, re-examine and try to find the best path on a daily basis. Each person is
unique and must be approached individually to reach the best solution and therefore, everything
cannot be generalized. The more methods we learn, the greater the possibility of correctly
reacting to a given situation. In this book we will offer you one way that will not limit the usage of
other methods that you have learnt. This book is my current understanding of truth, but we very
well know that understanding is rapidly developing, and so truth in medicine is relative and is
dependent on the momentary level of understanding.
The main theme of this book is focused on muscle work performed during movement.
Muscles work together and create muscle chains. This can be observed and examined
for regularity which repeats itself under certain circumstances.
I will try to provide you with some basic information on the following topics:
- the anatomy of muscle chains
- basic conditions for the formation of muscle chains
- muscle chain function
- the examination of muscle chain function
- muscle chain functional disorders
- the examination of muscle chain functional disorders
- strengthening muscle chains through exercise
- relaxation and stretching of muscle chains through exercise
- the impact of muscle chains on the spine, intervertebral discs and joints
- the impact of muscle chains on major joints (shoulder, hip, ankle, foot joints)
- therapy, regeneration and prevention of spinal disorders by the the activation and relaxation of muscle chains
- impact of the locomotory system function on internal organ function
