This work reviews the experience with endovascular grafts in virtually all areas of application, including a review of the most recent technology and device advancements. Anatomical limitations, endoleak classification, and adjunctive techniques to improve grafting are all explored.
The treatment of vascular diseases using minimally invasive techniques has undergone explosive development in the past 10 years. Central to the advancement of many of these new applications has been the rapid development of endovascular graft and radiologic catheter-based equipment. These new devices apply advanced metallic stent technology blended with ultrathin prosthetic arterial graft materials, expanding the potential of minimally invasive treatments and often avoiding the need for extensive operative surgery. In 15 chapters, this book reviews the experience with endovascular grafts in virtually all areas of application, including the treatment of aortic and peripheral artery aneurysms, thrombotic and long segment arterial occlusive disease, acute arterial trauma, and complex venous disease. The most recent technology and device advancements are reviewed in detail, bringing the reader up to date with the full spectrum of options. Finally, anatomical limitations, endoleak classification, and adjunctive techniques to improve grafting are all explored.
This book provides a state-of-the-art analysis of the major developments in endovascular graft treatments in the last 10 years, and shines a light in the direction of future advancements. Vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists, cardiac surgeons, and general cardiologists will all benefit from this current, insightful review.
