The chapters are divided into five sections, which include vocabulary lists, learning objectives, a synopsis of the topic in outline form, study-focusing questions, and multiple-choice questions. The study-focusing questions are distinctive because they address important points, thus distinguishing features of cells, tissues and organs, and critical concepts. The questions help students determine weaknesses in their knowledge and enable them to focus and improve on those areas. This work is intended for use in first- and second-year histology courses.
