Dr. Costel C. Darie started his biomedical career as a nurse at the Murgeni Hospital, Romania. He received his BS and MS in biochemistry at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University from Iasi, Romania, and performed research under Dr. Vlad Artenie. He continued his Ph.D. studies with Dr. Wolfgang Haehnel at the Albert-Ludwigs Universitaet, Freiburg, Germany, after which he worked in the labs of Drs. Paul M. Wassarman & Micsunica Platica (Mount Sinai School of Medicine) and Thomas A. Neubert (New York University Medical Center). He currently is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biomolecular Science at Clarkson University, where he is the lead of the Biochemistry and Proteomics Group. Dr. Alisa Woods received her BS in psychology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh and her PhD in biology from the University of California, Irvine, with Dr. Christine Gall. She continued with post-doctoral training at the University of Freiburg, Germany, with Dr. Michael Frotscher and completed a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She is currently a Research Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biomolecular Science at Clarkson University, where she works in the Laboratory for Biochemistry and Proteomics. She is also a counselor and neuropsychology researcher at the Neuropsychology Clinic at SUNY Plattsburgh.
