The Anatomy Project

This is a full-featured demonstration CD-ROM (for Mac and Windows environments) from "The Anatomy Project", a comprehensive series of 25 multimedia, interactive, multi-level CD-ROMs teaching and demonstrating the whole of topographical, functional and clinical human anatomy. The CD-ROM uses selections from the "The Anatomy Project"'s CD-ROMs on "The Heart", "Neuroanatomy" (three programs), "Introduction to Anatomy", "The Respiratory Tract", "The Hand" and "The Eye" to demonstrate the series' professional broadcast-quality production, which includes specially commissioned prosections, still and real-time medical imaging, histology and live action, with voice-over narration using classical "Nomina Anatomica" pronunciations. Each CD-ROM of "The Anatomy Project" contains approximately 50 minutes of movie tutorials, plus an interactive atlas, a searchable glossary, summaries of text with digital video review, interactive questions with remediation for wrong answers, software help and seven selectable user levels: undergraduate, nursing, physical therapy, radiography, dental, medical and postgraduate.
The product is offered free of charge to departmental and institutional buyers in medicine, nursing, dentistry or allied health. It is also available to health science bookstores with multimedia demonstration centres, secondary schools and junior colleges teaching premed anatomy. It is not offered to individual customers.
