In this workshop, Dr. Rapoff describes evidence-based interventions to enhance adherence to pediatric medical regimens. He describes the research on the importance of adhering to physician treatment plans for children who have a chronic illness. Dr. Rapoff illustrates the advantages and disadvantages of various strategies used to increase adherence and provides case examples. In addition, he discusses common barriers reported by parents that get in the way of sticking to treatment plans.
