Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become a crucially important investigative tool in pelvic disease where the soft tissue contrast enables more accurate diagnostic information to be obtained. Endocavitary MRI of the Pelvis puts the new developments in this area into perspective.
The editor has adopted a multidisciplinary approach successfully combining the technical and clinical aspects of MRI. In addition to imaging specialists the editor has drawn on representatives of each branch of surgery in which the procedure is carried out, thus ensuring that it will not only appeal to those directly involved in MRI but will also demonstrate the potential of these new diagnostic tools in a variety of gynaecological, urological and colorectal diseases.
