This volume presents the results of European laryngological efforts during the 20th century concentrating on the central topic of laryngeal carcinomas and precancerous conditions, as well as the discussion of the various benign alterations of the larynx.
During the first 30 years of this century, laryngology, in close cooperation with otology and rhinology, developed to a worldwide acknowledged sector of medical science and has since - similar to many other medical fields - made rapid progress. This volume presents the results of European lanyngological efforts, concentrating on the central topic of laryngeal carcinomas and precancerous conditions, as well as the discussion of the various benign alterations of the larynx that also form an important aspect of interest. Further, stenoses, pareses and traumata of the larynx provide discussions.
