In the first of four parts, this book examines the classification crit eria as well as etiologic factors and pathogenic mechanisms of headach e and different types of facial pain. The second part deals with gener al problems concerning diagnosis and choice of treatment. The last two parts analyze the individual pathologies at the root of headache (par t three) and facial pain (part four): A wide variety of classic and di fficult clinical cases are presented. The book can therefore be regard ed as a study and consultation manual for neurologists, headache speci alists, algologists, anaesthetists, dentists, internists, general prac titioners, and all those interested in the problem of headache and fac ial pain.
