The aim is to provide a fresh, practical and user-friendly atlas type book to allow urologists, general and trauma surgeons, gynaecologists and emergency clinicians, to make a rapid diagnosis and management plan for all forms of urological trauma. In addition, this book will also be of value to medical students, foundation year doctors and Consultant Urologists already in post. Furthermore, members of the multi disciplinary urology team, including, nurse practitioners and radiologists, will be able to use it as a reference guide.
Iqbal Shergill, BSc (Hons), MRCS (Eng): currently working towards the FRCS. He has edited two major publications in the field of medical research; `Urological Emergencies in Hospital Medicine' and `Basic Science Techniques in Clinical Practice'. The latter of the two was published by Springer. Mr Shergill has also written several book chapters and over 50 peer-reviewed urology papers. Manit Arya (FRCS): has worked with Mr Shergill as editor on both `Urological Emergencies in Hospital Medicine' and `Basic Science Techniques in Clinical Practice'. Mr Arya has also written several book chapters all of which appeared in the book `Urological oncology: a day to day guide for the non-specialist' and over 50 peer-reviewed urology papers.
