Classic in Audiology

Classics in Audiology is a compendium of those seminal publications that have shaped the past, present, and future of the scientific underpinnings of the practice of audiology. It is presented to recognize the contributions of the luminaries of audiology and hearing science, and to provide current and future clinician- scientists with a perspective of the rich history that has defined the science of the profession. Invited commentaries are included from selected authors of these papers, describing the scientific process, obstacles encountered, and the author's insight into why the classic publication made such an impact. It is intended to document the most significant contributions in hearing healthcare, and to serve as a resource for audiologists, otolaryngologists, and students of both professions, as well as other professionals engaged in serving those with hearing and balance disorders.
