Revised & updated, here is a book that offers hope to those suffering from chronic pain. Provides information on how to address chronic pain without the use of opioids in a conversational and easy-to-read format.
In the US, deaths from prescription opioid overdoses were second only to motor vehicle crash deaths among leading causes of unintentional injury death in 2007, and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Care Administration (SAMHSA) reported in a 2010 survey that the abuse of opioid painkillers had risen more than 400 percent over the last decade. There is little doubt that the growing abuse of prescription drugs impacts every facet of American life. Finally, here is a book that offers hope to those suffering from chronic pain. Revised and updated with the latest research. Focus is on a holistic approach to living with chronic pain rather than attempting to obliterate all pain with ever-increasing doses of addictive drugs. Written in a user-friendly format with accompanying glossary of medical terms.
