In her works, Dr Catalina Florina Florescu analyzes the multifarious manifestations of the writing process, with a special emphasis placed on the idioms of pain and suffering. In the summer of 2007, she earned her PhD in Comparative Literature from Purdue University, USA. Over the years, she has taught Mythology, Latin, Writing and Literature at Purdue University, Rutgers University, and St. Peter’s College. She is currently teaching at Stevens Institute of Technology and at Hudson County Community College. For her outstanding results, she has also been awarded fellowships granted by Purdue Research Foundation and Modern Language Association’s International Bibliography Program.Transacting Sites of the Liminal Bodily Spaces is Dr Florescu’s first book. In addition to her academic work, which has been published in book chapters and peer-reviewed journals, this author has written two plays, Transitional Object and Three as in Tri-angle or the Aftertastes of Life. Her greatest sources of inspiration are the loss of her dearest parents and the joys of Mircea Gruia, her son. More information about her work can be found on her blog: catalinaflorescu.blogspot.com.
