Package 1: European Pharmacopoeia, 7th edition 2011, USB-Stick + Online

The electronic versions of the 7th Edition European Pharmacopoeia are available on a subscription basis. Users purchase an access to a set of supplements for a given subscription year. Year 2011 includes new main work 7.0 and two supplements 7.1 and 7.2. The electronic editions are cumulative. In the event of any divergence between the printed version and the electronic version, it is the paper version which prevails. Every text in the electronic edition has a corresponding Acrobat file which is identical to the printed version, and which may be viewed by activating the link found at the top of each text. Acrobat Version 6 or above is required to view these texts.

Both electronic versions (Online and USB-Stick) are exactly the same in content. All electronic versions use a Web browser to present the information. The data provided with each new supplement is completely cumulative, containing the most recent version of each of the texts of the 7th Edition and its supplements. Each text is available in both HTML and PDF format, and it is possible to print and save both formats as well as to copy the HTML format into a word processor. The PDF format is identical to the pages from the print version.

One online licence enable two computers to have access to European Pharmacopoeia Online but not simulaneously. If you were to purchase two licenses, this would enable access on four fixed computers and two of them at the same time. This pattern is continued.

NEW: Online users have access to the archives of previous editions (pdf format). Also it is possible to add RSS feeds for specific queries.

USB-Stick including a NEW portability function: With the new USB-Stick it will be possible to run the Ph. Eur. directly from any computer's USB port with no installation after a one-time activation of the USB stick. As with the DVD previously, it will be possible to install the application onto 2 computers.

The ability to run the application directly from the USB-Stick will be of direct benefit for users woh have more than one computer or who need to have access to the European Pharmacopoeia whilst travelling.

Die USB-Stick- und die Online-Versionen der European Pharmacopoeia erhalten Sie als Abonnement. Sie zahlen eine jährliche Nutzungslizenzgebühr für die derzeit drei Aktualisierungen pro Jahr.

Für das Gültigkeitsjahr 2011 gelten die Ausgaben 7.0, 7.1 und 7.2. Die Version 7.0 erscheint Anfang Juli 2010 und wird zum 01.01.2011 gültig. Die einzelnen Supplemente sind kumulativ. Nach Ablauf der jeweiligen Gültigkeit werden die Supplemente vom Onlineserver genommen. Als Onlineabonnent haben Sie Zugriff auf ein PDF-basiertes Archiv aller älteren Ausgaben der European Pharmacopoeia - Rückwirkend bis zur 1. Auflage der European Pharmacopoeia aus dem Jahr 1969.

Die USB-Stick- und die Online-Version haben dieselben Inhalte wie die Printversion. Beide elektronischen Versionen benötigen einen Internet-Browser zur Darstellung. Die Daten eines neuen Supplements enthalten alle Inhalte der vorherigen Ausgaben. Die Texte liegen im HTML oder im PDF-Format vor und lassen sich drucken oder speichern. Im HTML-Format können Sie die Daten kopieren und ggf. in ihre Word-Dokumente einfügen und bearbeiten. Im PDF-Format sind die Seiten identisch mit der Buchausgabe.

Eine Onlinelizenz ermöglicht den Zugang zur European Pharmacopoeia Online von 2 festgelegten Computern. Von den beiden Computern kann immer einer online sein. Wenn Sie z. B. zwei Lizenzen erwerben, können Sie insgesamt vier Rechner registrieren und von diesen vier Rechnern können zwei gleichzeitig online in der European Pharmacopoeia Online recherchieren.

Der USB-Stick unterstützt eine NEUE "Portability"-Option. Diese erlaubt dem Anwender die European Pharmacopoeia 2011 nach einer einmaligen Lizenzierung direkt vom USB-Stick und ohne weitere Installation zu nutzen (NET 2.0 muss dafür auf dem Rechner installiert sein). Weiterhin kann der USB-Stick auf zwei festgelegten Rechnern installiert werden. Auf diesen Zusatzunuten haben Anwender, die mehr als einen Computer haben oder häufiger unterwegs auf die Daten der European Pharmacopoeia zugreifen möchten, schon lange gewartet.
