Emergency Airway Problems

This video shows nurses how to recognize signs and symptoms of emergency airway problems, understand causes, know which patients are at risk for developing an airway obstruction, assess partial airway obstruction of the conscious and unconscious patient, recognize and manage intermittent airway obstruction, assess complete airway obstruction of the conscious and unconscious patient, perform the abdominal thrust (Heimlich maneuver), use airway adjuncts, administer oxygen, and use pulse oximetry.
