About the Authors Joseph D'Amore, MD, a board-certified clinical allergist, immunologist, and internist, is Director of Community Health Centers of NYC, an $80 million nonprofit organization delivering healthcare to inner city neighborhoods. In addition, he serves as Medical Consultant to Goodwill Enterprises, a $100 million nonprofit charity. A chef before he attended medical school, he has co-authored two cookbooks to raise money for asthma research and environmental issues, has conducted coooking classes in the New York area, and has had his recipes featured in Cooking Light and The Better Homes And Gardens New Cook Book. Lisa D'Amore-Miller is a nutritionist and working chef who works to promote healthy eating for all people.
