This title focuses on arthroscopy and hip, knee & lower extremity. Arthroscopic surgery for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) offers a minimally invasive option for this group of athletic patients. The pincer component of FAI is often addressed with anterolateral acetabular rim trimming. However, excessive rim reduction can lead to macro- and/or micro-instability of the hip, while under-resection may leave residual impingement. In this video, Dr. Matsuda presents a supine hip arthroscopy setup as well as an innovative and user-friendly for fluoroscopic templating technique for acetabular rim trimming that permits more precise rim reduction.
