This title focuses on hip, knee & lower extremity and sports medicine. This CD shows how to use a remnant-preserving PCL to reconstruct the LCL after posterolateral corner injury. To preserve the PCL remnant, the authors remove a portion of the PCL, incise the skin lateral to the tibial tuberosity, and create a tibial tunnel on the anterolateral aspect of the tibia. This minimizes the killer turn. Next, the lateral side of the knee is exposed and the tibial-fibular tunnel is created. One end of the posterior tibialis tendon is threaded and an EndoPearl[registered] is attached. At the other end, the tip of the graft is threaded in a leading suture. The ends of the graft are introduced into the anterior apertures of the tibial-fibular tunnel and pulled out posteriorly. The graft is secured in the tunnel.
