This title focuses on such areas as: joint replacement and hip, knee and lower extremity. In this video, Dr. Weng performs a primary total knee arthroplasty using a new five-in-one cutting device. The approach and the resection of tibial are completed in standard fashion, then the five facets of the femur are shaped completely simultaneously. With the use of this new technique, operative time is shorter and the accuracy and fit of the distal femoral is greatly improved. Prior to attempting this procedure, the surgeon must understand the principles behind the five-in-one cutting device and must have the skill to handle the new technique.
