This book will focus on lightweight and Plain Old Java Objects (POJO) development options in the JBoss Application Server. The most important option is EJB 3.0, which standardizes many of the best ideas in existing Open Source POJO frameworks. The scope of the book covers most enterprise middleware topics currently covered by Java EE including the business layer (Enterprise POJOs and session beans in EJB 3.0), the Web presentation layer (JavaServer Faces integration), and the persistence layer (entity beans in EJB 3.0 and object cache).
