The aim of this edited book is to provide insights into contemporary issues and challenges in operational research and related mathematical modeling fundamentals for understanding system reliability. Optimization techniques/tools have gained popularity among IT managers and system managers for making crucial decisions while meeting multiple needs. The focus of this book would be the evaluation and optimization of key decisions related to the system betterment. Each chapter would present the recent advancement and research opportunity in system assurance.
The editorial shall place submissions in the following categories (but not limited to): Application of computational intelligence and Software system for optimal decision making, Software Reliability and Testing, Vulnerability Analysis, Safety and Performance, Fault Tolerance in Software systems, Modeling and Analysis of complex Systems, Failure analysis using advanced investigative techniques.
Emphasis will be on qualitative work relevant to the theme with particular importance given to mathematical modeling for performance management and various methodical approaches in governing the system assurance.
Accomplished and integrity-driven academic professional with over 8 years of rich experience in varied fields of Education, Banking, Analytics & Business Management with enormous success in developing Cognitive based teaching learning pedagogy with ability to coach best practices and motivate team, Dr Deepti Aggrawal has experience of teaching in various Delhi University colleges like Maharaja Agrasen, Shaheed Rajguru, Keshav Mahavidyalaya. Presently she is working as an Assistant Professor at USME, Delhi Technological University. Her Research areas include Marketing Management, Marketing Analytics and Software Reliability. She is a life member of SREQOM and has publications in journals of national and international repute. She has edited special issues of various journals of repute; CDQM, IJMEMS to name a few. She has recently authored a book entitled "Market Assessment with OR Applications" with CRC Press.
Dr Adarsh Anand did his doctorate from Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi. Presently he is working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi (INDIA). His research area includes Modelling of Innovation Adoption in Marketing and Software Reliability Assessment. He is a lifetime member of the Society for Reliability Engineering, Quality and Operations Management (SREQOM). He has been awarded as Young Promising Researcher in the Field of Software Reliability and Technology Management by SREQOM in 2012. He is on Editorial Board for various Journals and has Guest Edited several Special Issues for journals of repute. He has edited two books; "System Reliability Management: Solutions & Technologies" and "Recent Trends in Software Reliability Assurance"; and has authored two textbooks; "Market Assessment with OR Applications" and "Social Networks: Modeling and Analysis"; which have been published by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Gp.). He has also edited a book; "Systems Performance Modeling" and has authored a book "Multi Criteria Decision making: Applications for Managerial Discretion" with De Gryuter.
Prof (Dr.) Yoshinobu Tamura received the Ph.D. degrees from Tottori University in 2003. From 2003 to 2006, he was a Research Assistant at Tottori University of Environmental Studies. From 2006 to 2009, he was a Lecturer and Associate Professor at Faculty of Applied Information Science of Hiroshima Institute of Technology, Hiroshima, Japan. From 2009 to 2017, he was an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation, Yamaguchi University, Ube, Japan. From 2017 to 2019, he has been working as a Professor at the Faculty of Knowledge Engineering, Tokyo City University, Tokyo, Japan. Since 2020, he has been working as a Professor at the Faculty of Information Technology, Tokyo City University, Tokyo, Japan. Since 2021, he has been working as a Professor at the Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation, Yamaguchi University, Ube, Japan. He has authored the book entitled as OSS Reliability Measurement and Assessment (Springer International Publishing, 2016). Dr. Tamura received the Presentation Award of the Seventh International Conference on Industrial Management in 2004, the IEEE Reliability Society Japan Chapter Awards in 2007, the Research Leadership Award in Area of Reliability from the ICRITO in 2010, the Best Paper Award of the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management in 2012, the Honorary Professor from Amity University of India in 2017, the Best Paper Award of the 24th ISSAT International Conference on Reliability and Quality in Design in 2018, the Outstanding Paper Award of the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management in 2022, and the Amity Global Academic Excellence Award of the IEEE 4th International Conference on Intelligent, Enginee
