Ken Milburn has been consulting on and writing about personal-computer-based graphics, design, and multimedia since 1981. He is also an on-line instructor at Sessions, Inc. where he teaches Digital Photography 2.0, Basic Retouching, and is currently writing the course on Photoshop CS2 Camera Raw. He has been a professional photographer and digital artist for decades and primarily uses Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, and numerous third-party Photoshop-compatible plug-ins as his software tools. He has written 16 books on computer graphics and office applications and co-authored two books on Photoshop, and one book on digital video. Recent titles include Digital Photography QuickSteps and How To Do Everything with Adobe Acrobat 7.0. Many of his books have been bestsellers at Amazon.com. Sahlin's books have been translated into five foreign languages. Sahlin has been an avid photographer since childhood. He began his exploration of shadow and light with a box camera. He honed his craft with 35mm film cameras before graduating to professional digital SLRs. While writing his books, Doug has produced commercial photographs of automobile races, fashion models, actors, authors, products, landscapes, architecture, and food for his clients. His work has taken him from coast to coast, North to South, and has been seen in print and on the Web.
