This book provides a unique overview of the broad field of space-time processing and is divided into two parts: the first dealing with the classical adaptive suppression of airbourne and spacebased radar clutter, and the second comprimising miscellanous applications in other fields such as communications, underwater sounds and seismics.
This new book from Richard Klemm, author of the highly successful Principles of Space-time Adaptive Processing (IEE,2002), examines the various applications of space-time adaptive processing including applications in OTH-radar, ground target tracking, STAP in real world clutter environments, jammer cancellation, superresolution, active sonar, seismics and communications. Including contributions from distinguished international authors, the book provides a unique overview of the field of space-time procesing. The book is divided in two parts; the first dealing with the classical adaptive suppression of airbourne and space based radar clutter and the second comprising of miscellaneous applications in other fields such as communications, underwater sound and seismics.

The book will be of interest to those working in the field of sensor signal processing and in particular postgraduate students, research scientists, system engineers, university teachers and research project managers.

Richard Klemm received his Dipl. -Ing and Dr-Ing degrees in communications from the Technical University of Berlin. He currently works with FGAN-FHR, a branch of the German Defence Research Establishment. His main interest is in adaptive clutter and jammer suppression for radar, array processing for active and passive sonar, with emphasis on matched field processing for shallow water applications, and detection of moving targets by moving sensor plaforms. He has published numerous articles on various aspects of radar and sonar signal processing, and two books on space-time adaptive processing. He has been a member of the NATO AGARD AVP/RTO-SET panels and chaired various AGARD and RTO symposia. He initialised and chaired the European Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar, EUSAR'96. He received the RTO SET Excellence Award 2001 and the Clark-Griffiths Premium 2003.
