João Manuel R. S. Tavares is a Senior Researcher at the Instituto de Ciência e Inovação em Engenharia Mecânica e Engenharia Industrial (INEGI) and Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEMec) of the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). He graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade do Porto, Portugal, in 1992. He earned his M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Universidade do Porto in 1995 and 2001, respectively, and the Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 from the same university. João Tavares is Co-Editor of more than 50 books and co-author of more than 35 book chapters and 650 articles in international and national journals and conferences. Further, he is author of 3 international as well as 3 national patents. He has been a committee member of several international and national journals and conferences and is the co-founding and co-series Editor of the book series “Lecture Notes in Computational Vision and Biomechanics” published by Springer. He is the founding Editor and Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering: Imaging & Visualization” published by Taylor & Francis, and Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the international conference series CompIMAGE, ECCOMAS VipIMAGE, ICCEBS, and BioDental. Additionally, he has been (co)supervisor of several M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses and supervisor of several postdoc projects. He has participated in many scientific projects both as a Researcher and as a Scientific Coordinator. His main research areas include computational vision, medical imaging, computational mechanics, scientific visualization, human–computer interaction, and new product development. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti is Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata and Jaipur Campus, India, and Director of Institute of Engineering & Management, IEM. As the Director of one of the most reputed organizations in Engineering & Management in Eastern India, he launched a PGDM Programme to run AICTE approved Management courses, Toppers Academy to train students for certificate courses, and Software Development in the field of ERP solutions. Dr. Chakrabarti was Project Manager in TELUS, Vancouver, Canada, from February 2006 to September 2009, where he was intensively involved in planning, execution, monitoring, communicating with stakeholders, negotiating with vendors and cross-functional teams, and motivating members. He managed a team of 50 employees and projects with a combined budget of $3 million. Abhishek Bhattacharya is an Assistant Professor of Computer Application Department at Institute of Engineering & Management, India. He did Masters in Computer Science from the Biju Patnaik University of Technology and completed Master of Technology in Computer science from BIT, Mesra. He remained associated as Visiting/Guest Facultyof several universities/institutes in India. He has 5 edited and 3 authored books to his credit. He has published many technical papers in various peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, both international and national. He has teaching and research experience of 13 years. His area of research is data mining, network security, mobile computing, and distributed computing. He is the reviewer of couple of the Journals of IGI Global, Inderscience, and Journal of Information Science Theory and Practice. He is member of IACSIT, UACEE, IAENG, ISOC, SDIWC, and ICSES; Technical Committee member and Advisory Board Member of various international conferences such as CICBA, CSI, FTNCT, ICIoTCT, ICCIDS, ICICC, ISETIST, and many more. Sujata Ghatak is an Assistant Professor of Computer Application Department at the Institute of Engineering & Management, India. She received Masters in Computer Science and Master of Technology in Computer science from the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Majhitar, Sikkim, in 2011 and 2013. She received the B.Sc. (Computer Science) degree from the University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata, in 2008. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. Her research interests include image processing, pattern recognition, applied dynamical system in image processing, pattern recognition, information retrieval, natural language processing, and data science. She was the co-convener in IEMIS 2018. She is TPC member in various international conferences such as – International Conference on Smart Innovation, Ergonomics and Applied Human Factors (SEAHF 2019), Data Science & Machine learning & Application (DSMLA 2019), ARIAM-2019. She was also organizing Chair in CIPR 2019. She is the member of several technical functional bodies such as The Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications (SDIWC),Internet Society as a Global Member (ISOC), and International Computer Science and Engineering Society (ICSES). She has published several papers in reputed journals and conferences.
