This book includes a selection of reviewed papers presented at the 11th China Academic Conference on Printing and Packaging, held on November 26–29, 2020, Guangzhou, China. The conference is jointly organized by China Academy of Printing Technology and South China University of Technology. With 10 keynote talks and 200 presented papers on graphic communication and packaging technologies, the conference attracted more than 300 scientists.
The proceedings cover the recent findings in color science and technology, image processing technology, digital media technology, mechanical and electronic engineering and numerical control, materials and detection, digital process management technology in printing and packaging, and other technologies. As such, the book is of interest to university researchers, R&D engineers and graduate students in the field of graphic arts, packaging, color science, image science, material science, computer science, digital media, network technology and smart manufacturing technology.

Professor ZHAO Pengfei who is the chief editor of this book has been devoted to publishing professional books on color science, image processing, digital media, printing process, food packaging and safety, printing and packaging materials and technology and so on. He currently serves as the president of China Academy of Printing Technology and the chairperson of TI/130 Graphic technology. He has been in the publishing industry for more than 15 years; thus, he has numerous high-quality author resources on printing and packaging colleges and industries. As the chief editor, he has planned to publish a number of books. As a leader, he hosted 2016 China Academic Conference on Printing, Packaging Engineering & Media Technology. And as a speaker, he made a keynote report in 2017 49th Conference of the International Circle of Educational Institutes for Graphic Arts Technology and Management & 8th China Academic Conference on Printing and Packaging. Ms.Min Xu who is also the chief editor of this book has been committed to the research on visual and color science, image processing of color printing, digital printing workflow and standardization on printing process and so on. She currently serves as the chief editor of the journal of Digital Printing and the director of Printing Technology Professional Committee of Chinese Society for Imaging Science and Technology. As a leader, she hosted a number of international academic conferences, including the 11 sessions China Academic Conference on Printing and Packaging, as well as numerous new technical seminars on printing and packaging. These conferences promoted the academic exchanges of the printing and packaging innovation and technological development at home and abroad.
