Joseph J. LaViola is Associate Professor, University of Central Florida, Dept of EE/CS. Research interests include pen-based computing, 3D user interfaces for games, human motion estimation, virtual reality, human-robot interaction and interactive computer graphics. He is also an adjunct associate professor (Research), Brown University Computer Science Department; Eugene M.Taranta is a Staff Engineer at Seagate Technology and a Senior Researcher at the Graphics Lab, University of Central Florida. Research interests include: Gesture recognition, computer graphics, and RAID performance and coding theory.
