The quick, efficient way to find out how to work with iLife Apples popular and powerful suite of digital media tools.
These days, nobody really wants to learn everything there is to know about working with digital video, images, music, and DVDs. And even if you did, who has the time to endlessly tinker and play with it until you figure everything out?

You just want a book that will quickly show you how to get things done ¿ things that aren¿t already covered in the docs, and things you can¿t just figure out on your own.

iLife in a Snap is designed specifically for today¿s computer user:

Somebody who is new to managing digital media with iLife, but not new to Macs.
Somebody who doesn¿t have time for long-winded, mind-numbing explanations ¿ and certainly no time or patience for bad jokes.

Organized into a series of well-organized, bite-sized, quickly accomplished tasks, this book lets the reader zero right in on the one particular task he or she wants to accomplish, quickly figure out what to do, do it, and then get back to work.

Jinjer Simon has been actively involved in the computer industry for nearly 20 years. Brian Tiemann is a freelance technology columnist and software engineer who has written extensively in online magazines about the Macintosh, Apple software, and the philosophy of user-friendly design that has always been synonymous with them. A creative professional in the graphic arts and Web design world as well as in networking and software quality, he uses Mac OS X because of its Unix-based stability underlying the powerful built-in creative tools that let him bring his graphics, music, movies, and photography to life. Having been a Mac user for nearly twenty years, Brian has observed Apple's growth from a maker of simple personal computers to the powerhouse of film production, digital music, online lifestyle, and publishing that it is today. A graduate of Caltech, the coauthor of FreeBSD Unleashed, and the author of Mac OS X Panther In a Snap, Brian enjoys iLife, animation, motorcycles, technological gadgets, the outdoors, and writing about them all. He lives in Silicon Valley with Capri, the collie.
