This book presents select peer-reviewed proceedings of the International Conference on Advances in VLSI and Embedded Systems (AVES 2019) held at SVNIT, Surat, Gujarat, India. The book covers cutting-edge original research in VLSI design, devices and emerging technologies, embedded systems, and CAD for VLSI. With an aim to address the demand for complex and high-functionality systems as well as portable consumer electronics, the contents focus on basic concepts of circuit and systems design, fabrication, testing, and standardization. This book can be useful for students, researchers as well as industry professionals interested in emerging trends in VLSI and embedded systems. 




Dr. Zuber Patel is Associate Professor in SardarVallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat, India. He has done his PhD in wireless communication form SVNIT, Surat, and M.Tech. in VLSI design and microelectronics from IIT Bombay. His areas of research include HDL/FPGA based design, VLSI design of RISC microprocessors, FPGA/ASIC design of wireless transceiver hardware and embedded systems. He is one of the investigators of the prestigious SMDP-C2SD project funded by MeitY, Government of India. He has been a reviewer of numerous journals and an editor of notable conference proceedings.

Dr. Shilpi Gupta is Associate Professor in SardarVallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat, India. She holds a PhD in wireless communication. Her areas of research include wireless communication, signal processing, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, massive MIMO detection techniques, free space optics, and fiber optic sensors. She has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. She has also organized fifteen national level events including workshops, seminars, conferences, and training programmes. She is a member of many professional bodies like IETE, IEEE, IEICE and IJERIA.

Dr. Nithin Kumar Y. B. received the B.E. degree from Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal, India, and the M.Tech. degree from National Institute of Technology-Surathkal, and the Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur, India. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at National Institute of Technology Goa, India. He is a recipient of young Indian researcher award from Government of Italy. He has published many research papers in reputed international journals/conferences and delivered several technical presentations at various internationalconferences/universities in India and abroad. He also filed 4 patents in the relevant area. His current research interests include analog and mixed signal design.
