Philip F. Yuan is a Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University and the director of Academic Committee of Shanghai Digital Fabrication Engineering Technology Center. He also serves as a Council Member of Architects Sector as well as Virtual and Automated Construction Sector at the Architectural Society of China. His research mainly focuses on the field of performance-based architectural tectonics, the application of robotic fabrication equipment and developments of robotic fabrication technologies. Yi Min (Mike) Xie is a Distinguished Professor of RMIT University, an Adjunct Professor of Nanjing Tech University, and a Guest Professor in the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University. He played a leading role in pioneering the ESO and BESO methods, which have had a far-reaching impact in the fields of architecture and structural engineering. Professor Xie is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and a winner of prestigious awards including AGM Michell Medal and Clunies Ross Innovation Award. Jiawei Yao is an Associate Research Fellow and Post-doctor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University. He received his Ph.D in the Universit of Nottingham, UK. Right now, Dr. Yao is a LEED AP & WELL AP, while he focuses on environemntal-performance urban and building design. His research is sponsored by Shanghai Sailing Program and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Chao Yan is a Ph.D. candidate at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University.
