The course will help you establish strong foundation in image processing using Python by walking you through real fundamentals of digital image processing and application of each with practical assignments.
About This Book
* The best resource to learn the fundamentals of image processing is to observe different datasets which are targeting different real-life problem related to computer vision.
*A step-by-step tutorial for each and every part of digital image processing to provide a bigger picture of what all can be achieved by deep diving into any of those sub-fields.
*We'll not only cover the topics of image processing but also suggest their possible applications on some major and popular problems.
Who This Book Is For
In my experience so far as a software engineer, researcher, or trainer at meetup groups, one of the most common questions I have heard is “what we do in image processing? Where it is required today as we have deep learning? ” When I narrowed down, these are generally engineering students, developers, or researchers, often with a good background in writing code and using computational and numerical tools.
People who are looking to learn best practices or kickstart in the field of computer vision should definitely look forward to this course.
With many projects coming in computer vision domain which can help in betterment of society every industry and academia should have this knowledge. This set of skills will become more important when you are working on some real image data where it has so many different problems related to size, resolution, noise and so on. Every organization looks for a problem solver where the solution can cater to multiple problems. We are not just teaching image processing fundamentals but also how to use it in your project with libraries available in Python.
What You Will Learn
* Explore various image and video formats
*Learn to enhance the quality of given images
*Apply image processing in various major applications such as motion detection, object detection, and much more
*Identify the difference between vector and scaler images. This can be useful for the applications related to geospatial data.
*Extract features from given images and to feed them in neural networks. This can be crucially essential in deep learning techniques.
In Detail
Today data is unstructured and mainly can be found in an image or video format. The demand to understand such nuances of image processing is more than before. It gives more space to playaround. This can be used and will be benefited in many areas such as robotics, geospatial mapping,e-commerce, publication, and automation.
This course will cover the basics of image processing, motion detection with video processing, and 3D construction. OpenCV package in Python will be used for the practical demonstration. Other products are also available in market such as Matlab, but OpenCV is open source and is mainly focused to perform computer vision in real time.
This course helps to get the basic knowledge about image and video processing. It will prepare you to play around with the concepts of image processing in areas such deep learning. It will help to develop a deep understanding on the techniques and where to use on image. This course will specially helps you to acquire additional skills required for the job.
