About the Author Deke McClelland has authored more than 30 books on desktop publishing and the Macintosh computer, and his work has been translated into more than 20 languages. He is author of IDG Books Worldwide's CorelDRAW! 7 For Dummies, PageMaker 6 For Windows For Dummies, and Photoshop 4 For Dummies. Deke is a contributing editor to Macworld magazine and also writes for Publish. He also hosts "Digital Gurus," a syndicated TV show about personal computing, from his home base in Colorado. Deke started his career as artistic director at the first service bureau in the United States. Deke won the Ben Franklin award for Best Computer Book in 1989, a Society of Technical Communication Award in 1994, and an American Society for Business Press Editors award in 1995. He also won the prestigious Computer Press Association Award in 1990, 1992, 1994, and 1995.
