NICOLAE H. PAVEL is Professor of Mathematics at Ohio University, Athens. Dr. Pavel, a recipient of the Simion Stoilov Award from the Romanian Academy of Sciences, received the Ph.D. degree (1972) from the University of Ia????i, Romania.
