Statistical Concept Labs

Using software simulations and graphical animations, this manual demonstrates core statistical concepts. It integrates these simulations and animations with the data analytic power of StataQuest to provide a complete learning tool for introductory students. These Labs are similar to the labs in the laboratory sciences, such as biology, chemistry,or physics; students are given a well-defined set of tasks to perform. The aim of the text is that students should learn that statistics is a laboratory science with mathematics and the computer as tools for data analysis.
