This work sets out to demystify typography and typesetting on the computer. It moves from the broadest possible parameters of page typography to the most specific paragraph typography to the detail-strewn sentence typography. There are brief explorations of typesetting history (the origins of terms, techniques, and technologies) and an examination of letter terminology. There is also a chapter on designing with type - from initial letters to typographic illustrations.
