Translational Informatics

This book illustrates how translational informatics connects molecular-level data from drugs and genes to the clinical data of diseases and patients, along with the value that can be unlocked to improve patient outcomes. Specifically, the book presents technologies that drive decision making in drug discovery and development using different types of -omic data, from genes to compounds, diseases, and patients. Ultimately, the reader gains an understanding of how these data are deeply interconnected and how these connections are used for personalized healthcare, target identification, drug repurposing, and biomarker identification.
