Get a solid foundation for producing Android apps that people want to use. With this practical book, developers new to mobile development will examine the design and development process for making Android applications, from the development of an initial concept to implementation. You'll learn how user experience concepts work on Android, both from a user perspective, and in code. This book provides examples of existing UI designs to show why they work-or, in many cases, why they don't work. By understanding how consumers use their apps, you'll learn how to build excellent Android apps of your own. Focus on design aspects of the platform, and the thought processes involved in making great apps Learn why Android's user interface has evolved in the way it has Work with exercises to reinforce the concepts delivered in each chapter
