He has over 15 years of experience using Intel--compatible computers in the programming, graphic design, Web design, and technical writing fields. Butow has documented a wide variety of computer--related products and methods, including networking procedures, telecommunications hardware, software quality assurance practices, and Java networking software. From 1997 to 1999, Butow was editor of Sacra Blue, the monthly magazine of the Sacramento Personal Computer Users Group. Butow holds bachelor's and master's degrees in speech communication from California State University, Fresno. He is currently studying for his A+ and MCSE+I computing certifications.
