Kevin Loney (Wilmington, DE) is a veteran Oracle developer and DBA. He is the author of the best-selling Oracle8 DBA Handbook and co-author of Advanced Tuning and Administration and Oracle8i: The Complete Reference. He frequently makes presentations at Oracle conferences and contributes to Oracle Magazine Megh Thakkar (Sydney, Australia) is the Director of Database Technologies at Quest Software. Previously, he worked as a technical specialist at Oracle Corporation. Thakkar holds a masters degree in computer science and a bachelors degree in electronics engineering. He also holds several industry vendor certifications, including OCP, MCSE, Novell Certified ECNE, SCO UNIX ACE, and he is a Lotus Notes Certified Consultant. Voted as the best speaker at the NSWOUG2000 in Sydney, Australia, he is a frequent presenter at Oracle OpenWorld and various international Oracle User Groups. Rachel Carmichael has been an Oracle DBA for over nine ears. She chairs the DBA Special Interest Group for the New ork Oracle Users Group, is both Chauncey and OCP certified, and has presented at various international and national conferences, including the ECO all-day DBA seminar for the past three years.
