This book is a collection of papers presented by renowned researchers, keynote speakers, and academicians in the International Conference on VLSI, Communication, Analog Designs, Signals & Systems and Networking (VCASAN-2013), organized by B.N.M. Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India during July 17-19, 2013. The book provides global trends in cutting-edge technologies in electronics and communication engineering. The content of the book is useful to engineers, researchers, and academicians as well as industry professionals.

Veena S. Chakravarthi is presently a Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at B.N.M. Institute of Technology (BNMIT), Bangalore, India. She obtained her PhD in Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University in 2008. Dr. Chakravarthi has over two decades of semiconductor industry experience in managing design and development of large multiprocessor SoCs. She has to her credit 6 multiprocessor multimillion gate tapeouts and over 20 silicon-proven IP core designs. She is engaged in teaching undergraduate/post graduate students and has been teaching courses like Analog and Mixed VLSI Design, SOC Design, VLSI Design Verification and Embedded Systems. Her areas of research interest include VLSI design and testing, VLSI and embedded systems, low-power ASIC design, EPON technology, Bluetooth, and wireless LAN. She has published 16 research papers in national and international level conferences. She has served as a PON consultant to Ikanos Communications for their PON product developments and also as a consultant to Pereira Ventures, US. She is an Associate Member of the IEEE and Technical Member of IACSIT (International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology).

Yasha Jyothi M. Shirur is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at BNMIT, Bangalore.
